Terms of Service

1. The Service

Recensio helps local businesses collect and manage Google reviews. It provides a QR/collection link that invites your customers to leave a review on Google, AI-assisted replies to reviews, a private feedback channel, performance reports and competitor insights.

We may add, change or remove features at any time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes that significantly reduce core functionality.

2. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 18 years old and use the Service for business purposes. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account.

Authentication and account data are handled through our infrastructure provider (Supabase). You may sign in with email and password or with Google.

3. Plans, trial, billing and cancellation

Paid plans (Starter and Pro) are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis through our payment processor, Stripe. The Starter plan includes a 7-day free trial; if you do not cancel before the trial ends, the plan renews and the applicable fee is charged.

You can cancel at any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and stops future renewals. Except where required by mandatory law (including EU consumer rights), fees already paid are non-refundable and partial periods are not refunded.

Prices are shown exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise. We may change prices with prior notice; changes apply from your next renewal.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including: submitting false, incentivised or fake reviews; impersonating others; uploading unlawful, infringing or harmful content; attempting to breach security; or using the Service to violate any applicable law.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that the way you solicit and collect reviews complies with the policies of Google and any other platform you connect, including their guidelines on review solicitation. You remain responsible for the content of replies you publish.

5. Google and third-party platforms

When you connect your Google Business Profile, you authorise Recensio to access and act on your behalf via Google's APIs, within the scope you grant. Your use of Google services remains subject to Google's own terms. You can revoke this access at any time from your dashboard or your Google account.

6. AI-generated content

Replies, reports and insights may be generated with the help of artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude). AI output can be inaccurate or inappropriate. You are responsible for reviewing content before it is published; you can run replies in draft mode or disable automation entirely. We are not liable for content you choose to publish.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design and trademarks, belongs to Recensio and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while these Terms are in force. You retain ownership of the content and data you provide.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we make no guarantee about specific results, such as an increase in reviews or rating. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Recensio is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Mandatory consumer protections are not affected.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service unlawfully. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive will survive.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "last updated" date and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.

12. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the substantive laws of Switzerland, without prejudice to mandatory protections available to consumers in their country of residence. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at the operator's domicile in Switzerland, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
